How The Finals Detects Cheating
Easy Anti-Cheat runs as a kernel driver and user-mode service, scanning for known cheat signatures, unsigned drivers and suspicious memory writes. The Finals also performs server-side checks on movement, damage and line-of-sight, and its killcam replay is reviewed by both automated systems and human moderators. Bans are applied to the account first, but Embark Studios has stated that repeat offenders or those using hardware-level cheats can face hardware bans, typically via motherboard or disk identifiers. There is no published appeal process for detected cheats, and EAC updates frequently, so any tool must be kept current or it will be flagged at launch.
Setup for The Finals
Run The Finals in fullscreen exclusive mode rather than borderless windowed, because EAC hooks can conflict with desktop overlays and cause stutter or input lag. Disable Discord, GeForce Experience and Steam overlays before launching, as these are common triggers for EAC false positives and can also interfere with ESP rendering. Secure Boot is not required for The Finals on PC, but if you use a spoofer for hardware bans, apply it before EAC loads and reboot afterwards. Light class players benefit most from movement-based aids like bunny-hop macros, which blend with the game's existing momentum mechanics.
Realistic Risk in The Finals
The killcam is the primary risk: every death generates a replay that shows your crosshair placement and reaction time to the victim, and suspicious clips are routinely uploaded to community forums and reviewed by Embark. Small lobby sizes in Quick Cash and Bank It mean the same players see you repeatedly, making statistical outliers in accuracy or headshot percentage obvious over a session. Ranked tournaments add manual spectating by moderators and a stricter report threshold. Report flows are simple and often actioned within hours, and server-side logs retain match data for weeks, so even a single blatant round can lead to a ban after the fact.
