HWID spoofer — what a hardware ban is and when spoofing actually works
A hardware ban does not target your account, it targets the machine. Making a new account, reinstalling Windows or buying a new copy of the game changes nothing, because the identifiers the anti-cheat recorded are still physically present in your PC.
What gets fingerprinted
The usual set is disk serial numbers, the SMBIOS system UUID from your motherboard, MAC addresses on every network adapter, the TPM endorsement key where one is present, and on some anti-cheats the GPU device identifier. Anti-cheats hash several of these together, so changing one value is often not enough — the remaining matches still resolve to the same machine. A spoofer worth running replaces the whole set.
Which anti-cheats actually hardware ban
BattlEye, EasyAntiCheat, ACE, Vanguard and FACEIT all issue hardware bans. Valve's VAC is predominantly account-based, as is Blizzard's enforcement. If the game you were banned in uses VAC, a spoofer is usually unnecessary and a new account is enough. Knowing which category you are in saves you from running a kernel-level tool you did not need.
Order matters more than the tool
Run the spoofer after a clean reboot and before the anti-cheat's driver starts. For anti-cheats that load at boot — ACE and Vanguard in particular — this means the spoofer must run early, and if the game's service is set to start automatically you need to disable that first. Launching the game, then spoofing, achieves nothing: the original values were read and cached at startup.
What spoofing cannot fix
It does not hide your IP, your payment method or your Steam account's purchase history, and several platforms link bans through those instead. It also does not survive a BIOS update that rewrites the SMBIOS UUID back to the real value. Verify the spoof held before you queue, not after the ban lands.
