Valorant Cheat Reference and Anti-Cheat Behaviour
Valorant uses Riot Vanguard, a kernel-level anti-cheat that runs from boot and blocks known cheat drivers before the game launches. Enforcement is account-level, with hardware bans applied to the motherboard and disk identifiers after confirmed detections, so a new account on the same machine is rarely a clean slate.
Vanguard detection and ban scope
Vanguard loads as a kernel driver at system start and monitors memory, handles and driver signatures continuously, not only while Valorant is running. Detections typically arrive as a ban wave rather than an instant kick, so a cheat that appears to work for days may already be flagged. Bans are account-level first, but Riot also applies hardware identifiers, meaning a fresh account on a flagged motherboard or drive is usually banned quickly. Vanguard's behaviour-based checks also flag unusual input patterns, so a detection does not always require a known cheat signature.
Display, overlays and Secure Boot requirements
Valorant requires TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot on Windows 11, and Vanguard refuses to start if either is disabled, so these must be configured before any cheat is loaded. Use exclusive fullscreen rather than borderless, because Vanguard hooks the game window and some overlay injections are detected through the compositor. Discord, GeForce Experience and Xbox Game Bar overlays conflict with many cheat injectors and should be disabled. No spoofer is needed before launch on a clean machine, but a hardware-banned system needs one before Vanguard will even initialise.
Useful features for Valorant's format
Valorant is round-based and information-driven, so a subtle wallhack showing enemy positions through walls on Ascent or Bind is more valuable than an aimbot. Recoil control for the Vandal and Phantom at medium range looks like practised spray control, while triggerbot limited to head-level pixels on Operator holds is harder to distinguish from good crosshair placement. Avoid snapping to targets through smoke on Haven or using Jett dash instant-flicks, as these produce replays that read as unnatural. Sova recon and Cypher tripwire information is already in the game, so cheat-assisted awareness should mirror those cues rather than exceed them.
Realistic risk in Valorant
The main exposure is the replay and spectating system: teammates and opponents can review your camera movement after death, and a singlematch report triggers manual review where unnatural crosshair paths are obvious. Small lobbies in Competitive and Premier make statistical outliers stand out, and Riot's server-side analysis flags accounts with impossible headshot percentages or reaction times. Tournament and custom-game play carries the highest risk because admins screen recordings directly. Killcams in unrated and swiftplay also expose aim behaviour to every player in the match, increasing report volume.
