How Satisfactory detects cheating
Satisfactory has no kernel-level anti-cheat driver. Detection relies on the game's own logging, server-side validation of item and building changes, and player reports. Coffee Stain Studios can review crash dumps and save files for impossible values, but there is no automated scanner running alongside the game. Bans are account-level on Epic Games or Steam, not hardware-level, so a flagged account loses access to official services but the machine itself is not fingerprinted. Private sessions and single-player saves are effectively unpoliced unless you upload a save that contains obvious anomalies.
Setup before launching Satisfactory
Run Satisfactory in borderless windowed mode rather than exclusive fullscreen, as overlay hooks and memory editors tend to behave more predictably when the game is not capturing the display exclusively. Building range and no collision let you place refineries and assemblers without belt spaghetti, which looks like ordinary efficient play. Avoid spawning power slugs or coupons directly into your inventory, as that creates a visible statistical jump on the HUB terminal.
Realistic risk in Satisfactory
The main risk in Satisfactory is not automated detection but social and statistical scrutiny. There are no killcams or replays, but the in-game HUB terminal and the production statistics screen record item throughput and power usage over time. A sudden jump from 30 to 3,000 iron plates per minute will be visible to anyone who joins your session and opens the statistics panel. Report flows on dedicated servers are manual, and small private lobbies rarely escalate. Tournaments do not exist for this title, so the realistic exposure is a ban on your Epic or Steam account after a manual review of an uploaded save.
