Overwatch 2 cheats — Defense Matrix and why replays matter most
Blizzard's Defense Matrix is not a kernel driver in the way BattlEye or ACE are. The enforcement that actually removes Overwatch 2 accounts comes from the replay system and from behavioural scoring, which means your settings matter more than your injection method.
The replay problem
Every Overwatch 2 match is recorded and any player can review it from their own client, frame by frame, from any camera angle. That is a far more effective detection tool than a memory scan: a flick that snaps 180 degrees and stops dead on a head is unmistakable when a reviewer slows it down, and the report that follows carries video evidence. Assume that every match you play well in will be watched by someone.
Settings that survive review
Keep the aim smoothing high and the field of view for target acquisition small — under 15 degrees. A narrow FOV means the assist only engages on targets you were already tracking, which looks like good crosshair placement rather than a snap. Disable aim on targets behind walls entirely. Tracking heroes like Soldier: 76 and Sojourn hide assistance far better than hitscan burst heroes, because continuous tracking is what good players already do.
Behavioural scoring
Blizzard weights endorsement level, report rate and account age together. A fresh account with no endorsements that climbs quickly is reviewed far sooner than an established one. If you have an account with playtime and a decent endorsement level, that history is genuinely protective — which is also why losing it hurts. Avoid competitive placement matches in the first week on any new account.
What to avoid outright
No triggerbot on Widowmaker and no wallhack-driven Hanzo arrows. Both produce clips that circulate, and a clip with a million views gets a response from Blizzard within days regardless of what the anti-cheat detected.
