FragPunk cheat reference: detection, setup, features and risk
FragPunk runs on EasyAntiCheat for client-side protection, backed by server-side statistical checks and manual review of reports. Enforcement is account-level rather than hardware-level, so a banned account is lost but the machine itself is not permanently flagged; bans typically arrive as a wave rather than instantly, which makes short test sessions misleading.
How FragPunk detects cheating
EasyAntiCheat scans the FragPunk process for injected modules, altered memory and known cheat signatures, and it reports anomalies to the server rather than acting purely locally. The game also validates shot registration and movement server-side, so a lancer who lands impossible headshots across Ashen Valley's long sightlines will be flagged by the statistics even if the client scan is clean. Bans are account-level: your FragPunk profile, rank and inventory are gone, but the hardware ID is not permanently blacklisted. That means a new account on the same machine may survive, though repeated detections raise the chance of a hardware flag on future waves.
Display, overlays and boot settings
Run FragPunk in exclusive fullscreen rather than borderless, because the anti-cheat captures the swap chain and borderless mode with an overlay attached is a common source of false-positive crashes. Discord, GeForce Experience and MSI Afterburner overlays all conflict with EasyAntiCheat in this title; disable them before launch. Secure Boot is not required for FragPunk on Windows 10, but the game will refuse to start if TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot are disabled on Windows 11. No spoofer is needed before launch, since enforcement is account-level, but changing hardware IDs after a ban will not restore a flagged account.
Useful features in FragPunk's format
FragPunk's five-versus-five Shard Clash mode rewards information over raw aim, so a subtle ESP that shows enemy positions through walls is more valuable than a snap-aim bot. The Shard Card system, which lets you modify rounds with cards like Double Jump or Big Head, means recoil control and trigger discipline matter more than flick speed. Use a low-FOV aim assist that activates only past 40 metres, and never lock onto targets through smoke on maps like Neon Dunes, where ordinary players cannot see. Silent aim with a 5-degree cone mimics human reaction time; a hard lock at 180 degrees will be obvious in the killfeed within two rounds.
Where the realistic risk sits
FragPunk's killcam and post-round replay show your crosshair placement to every player in the lobby, and a spectator who watches you track an enemy through a wall will report you immediately. Small lobbies make statistical outliers obvious: a 70 per cent headshot rate over ten matches in ranked Gold will trigger manual review faster than a single suspicious round. The in-game report flow feeds directly into EasyAntiCheat's review queue, and tournament organisers for FragPunk's official circuits run their own demo reviews. The realistic risk is not the client scan but the replay, the report and the outlier stat, so keep your numbers inside the range of a strong human player.
