How Conan Exiles Detects Cheating
BattlEye monitors the game client for known cheat signatures and suspicious memory edits, and Funcom combines that with server-side logging of movement, damage and inventory changes. Official PvP and PvE servers enforce account bans, not hardware bans, so a new copy of the game on the same machine can reconnect after a ban unless the account is also flagged. Private servers run their own admin tools and may have BattlEye disabled entirely, which means detection there depends on the owner watching logs and player reports rather than an automated system.
Display, Overlays and Secure Boot Setup
Conan Exiles runs best in exclusive fullscreen when using external overlays, because borderless windowed mode can cause BattlEye to flag injected rendering hooks. Discord, Steam and GeForce Experience overlays should be disabled before launch, as their capture layers sometimes conflict with ESP drawing and trigger false positives on official servers.
