Atlas uses BattlEye as its client-side anti-cheat, backed by server-side validation and report-driven enforcement. In practice this means injection-based cheats are detected quickly, while external or DMA-based setups survive longer but still face account bans from statistical review. Bans are account-level, not hardware-level, so a new Steam account can rejoin after a ban.
How Atlas Detects Cheating
Atlas runs BattlEye, which scans process memory, loaded modules and driver signatures for known cheat patterns and heuristics. Detection focuses on injection methods, unsigned drivers and abnormal read/write access to the game client. Enforcement is account-level: a ban removes your Steam account's access to official servers but does not blacklist your hardware ID or IP. Server-side systems also flag impossible values such as damage through terrain or instantaneous aim snaps, and these flags feed into manual review. BattlEye updates its signature database regularly, so public cheats are typically short-lived while private builds last longer between detections.
Setup Specific to Atlas
Atlas must run in fullscreen exclusive mode for most overlay-based cheats to render correctly; borderless windowed causes flickering or missed frames on the overlay. Discord, Steam and GeForce Experience overlays conflict with BattlEye and should be disabled before launch. Secure Boot is not required for Atlas, but a spoofer is unnecessary because bans are account-level. Load the cheat after the BattlEye splash screen appears, not before, or the service will terminate the game process. Verify game files once after installing any driver-level component, as Atlas checks its own integrity on startup and will refuse to launch with modified core files.
Features Worth Using in Atlas
Atlas is a survival sandbox with naval combat, taming and base building across a 4x4 grid of regions, so the highest-value features are ESP for players, ships and loot crates, and a radar that shows nearby vessels before they render. Aim assist is useful mainly for the carbine and flintlock during boarding actions, but keep smoothing high and FOV narrow to mimic human tracking. Small lobby sizes on private servers mean statistical outliers stand out quickly: a 40 percent headshot rate over fifty kills will draw attention even without a report. Official tournaments and company-vs-company scrims use dedicated admins who review footage frame by frame, so the risk there is higher than in open-world PvP.
